Edwin Palacios

So sadly its just been confirmed that the body found recently was Edwin Palacios, brother of Spurs star Wilson. Deepest sympathies to Wilson and the rest of the family.

Wilson hasnt played in a few weeks since the body was discovered and at the Spurs v Man City game 2 weeks ago the whole ground erupted with many chants in support of Wilson, it was incredibly emotional and really touching. Jermain Defoe received the same support when he lost his brother last month. When the players came out at the end for the traditonal lap of honour the chants in support of Wilson continued and some fo the players were visibly choked at what they were hearing - was a lovely moment to be a Spurs fan and not a football in sight!

As much as I love Spurs for footballing reasons I love how they pride themselves on being a family club and I love how the "Spurs Community" supports each other. Spurs are a club involved with many charities and have set up the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation to support disadvantaged peple in the community and do a lot of work with folks with various forms of disability.

Obviously theres more to life than football but i love how Spurs get involved in the things that really matter in life.

It's fair to say we're not going to win the league every year but we're an honest, caring club and I'm proud to be a Spurs fan.

A few more cups would do no harm tho :-)

flippin drama queens.

going to the dance

the redunDANCE!

so the day before I left for Houston, 2 folks from our head office came to meet us about our new hostel that would be opening soon.

or so we thought!

what they actually came to say was that our hostel was closing and if the new one didnt open then we were all being made redundant if there was no other job for us within the organisation.

then they said the new hostel should be opening but was not officially confirmed.

gotta love their timing.  wish theyd waited until i got back!

Just one week to go!!!

Really can't wait to get away!! Need a break from everyone and everything at the mo, just feels like ive been on autopilot for the last few months and im just totally drained. Can't wait to get to houston and just be a big kid, got a list through of all the wrestlers and divas ill be meeting when im there so im really flippin excited!

Kathy

Can't believe that it was a year this past saturday, the time has flown.  Been thinking about life in general lately and mine genuinely changed the day I started work in that place, gave me a totally differant outlook on life and im thankful for that. Im so thankful for the memories that I have and I'm even thankful for the bad times we had!

heartbreak

i am absolutely gutted. losing on penalties in a cup final is the worst feeing i have experienced in relation to football.

you're probably thinking "its only football" - sod off.

have to say i am incredibly proud of the boys, we were the best team over 90 minutes and were also better in extra time as well so i cant fault them at all. gutted for jamie o hara as he is spurs through and through and if it hadnt have been for his great performance in the semi final we probably couldnt have got there.

i made sure i stayed to the bitter end and applauded all the spurs lads off the pitch and i applauded united when they lifted the cup, i hate sore losers - they won the cup fair and square so well done to them.

wembley is an amazing stadium and the atmosphere was fantastic. was surprised at how quiet the united fans were thought, it reminded me of roy keane's rant at them a few years ago. the only time they made any noise of note was whenever they won.

im hoping spurs play like that till the end of the season!

wrestlemania

wrestlemania is only 7 weeks away now! ive had my ticket bought since last may so ive been looking forward to it for quite a while!!

i had thought this would be a one off but now im thinking i could make this a regular thing but ill see how much i enjoy my trip to houston and then decide.

really looking forward to meeting some of the wrestlers and divas and cant wait for the hall of fame ceremoney and of course wrestlemania itself. monday night raw the night after should also be fantastic. i decided to stay an extra night in houston and im glad i did as bruce springsteen is playing that night and ive managed to get a ticket!

been looking forward to this holiday for quite a while and its got to the stage where im literally counting the days because i really need a break. its going to be a fun 10 days :)

cup final

this time 2 weeks the carling cup final will be all over!

im so excited bout going to my first cup final, im not exaggerating when i say ive been waiting for this day for nearly 20 years!!!

the next step

been thinking a lot lately  bout what my next move should be.

work recently changed their career break policy which means from this august im entitled to go away for a year or so and have a job to come back to. Canada will always have a special place in my heart and im strongly considering going there for a while, its been in my thoughts for a long time but maybe its time to just go for it.

London is an option purely because of spurs, i loved living near white hart lane a few years ago and if i job came up over there it could happen again.

then theres enniskillen. it is home and it always will be i think. its where my family is and if the right opportunity arose then i would have to consider going back down.

belfast is great but its not home, at the moment its just serving a purpose. ive got a good job close to where i live and my house is also handy for both airports etc etc.

part of me would like to sell my house and go travelling for a while but with the housing market the way it is id prob make a profit of £500 which really wouldnt take me very far!
