pointless?

so are blogs pointless?

in a way i think they are. was having a conversation the other day who told me that blogs were amazing cos they could write up whats going on in their life and everyone would see it.

but really the only people going to bother reading it are people who know you who are either nosey or genuinely interested in what's happening in your life.

is it not easier just sending them a text?

im kind of debating with myself because obviously i have a blog but i dont really put anything grounbreaking on here. if i have anything on my mind i dont write it here, i just stress about it and let it get worse and eventually have a freak out and get it sorted while the world carries on around me oblivious to the amount of sleep ive just lost from worrying.

we're in an age now where everyone not only has an opinion but an opinion which they believe should be forced on everyone around them and agreed with without question. i think that is why so many people have blogs.

i sometimes wish it was 10 years ago and we had no blog's and no reality tv and the interent didnt have pages and pages of useless forums with people giving their opinion on everything, most of which does not actually concern them.

an historic day

so the other day america went out and voted and obama got elected! it was predicted but nonetheless it was an historic day and a day that america will look back on with great pride.

why?

im genuinely confused by this whole affair. i hadnt been following the election at all but as it got closer thought i better take a bit of an interest so i actually knew what people were talking about. ive asked loads of people who they wanted to win and the usual response ive got is "aw man it has to be obama like! there has to be a change, bush is a disaster!" admitedly im not a big fan of george w bush but i understand the fact that he is a role model for stupid people world wide - if someone that stupid can be in charge of the most powerfu country in the world then there really is hope for us all! but that aside, all ive heard is about obama is going to change this and that.

the impression im getting from people i that they have got caught up in the whole euphoria of having the first black president and wanting to be part of history. i looke dup the whole presidenttial thing on the internet the other day and found many websites listing his promises and then a list of reasons why they they wouldnt work. these were mainly financial, he appears to have promised many things which will cost a lot of money but he is working with a deficit of $6.9 trillion!

ive nothing against obama, im happy for the lad cos he has acheived something and from his appearence on wwe television a few months ago he seemed like a witty kind of bloke.

but ive got one of those feelings where i think it will all end in tears.

kind of like the feeling i had when ramos was appointed spurs boss - look how that turned out!
